Got a call with a British bloke’s voice saying it was TalkTalk warning me my internet would be disconnected. They told me to press 1 to chat with an engineer or 2 to stop the service. Definitely a scam, don’t fall for it!

Got a call from some bloke claiming there was an issue with my BT Openreach internet. I told him I wasn’t even with BT, so that didn’t go far. Pretty sure it was a scam trying to phish info. When I checked the number by dialling 1471, it said the number wasn’t recognised at all! Looks like dodgy scammers are using UK numbers to cover their actual locations abroad. Honestly, I’m shocked BT haven’t managed to crack down on this sort of fraud yet.
