Got a call from someone claiming to be with British Gas, trying to verify the address for the electricity account manager. When I told them to check our website for the info, they got really rude. Nice to know I’m not the only one who suspected it was a scam.

Got a call from a bloke with an accent who wanted to talk to whoever's in charge of the electric bills, claimed he worked for EDF. Told him I couldn’t put him through to the manager at the moment and mentioned it was their “company rule” not to give out the direct phone number. I decided to check the number on my phone and ended up on this site - it’s obviously a scam.

A guy with an Asian accent called saying he was from EDF. Since we’re actually with EDF, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and heard him out, but it quickly became clear he was trying to scam us.
