This number called me but luckily BT Guardian stopped it before my phone even sounded. I don’t have any connection with BT and I don’t use their phone service at all. This Guardian thingy is built into the phone no matter who your provider is and honestly, it’s amazing. It makes unknown callers say who they are and then tells you that so you can decide if you want to pick up. If no ID, no ring - simple and great!

I received a call from this number, and BT Guardian intercepted it before my phone could even finish ringing. Interestingly, I don’t use BT for my phone service, so I haven’t got any particular loyalty to them. Nevertheless, the Guardian feature, which is integrated into my phone regardless of my provider, is absolutely fantastic. It prompts unknown callers to introduce themselves, and then it communicates that information back to me, giving me the choice on whether to pick up or not. If there’s no identity provided during the call, it’s positively marvellous!

Last few days ive had like 3 or 4 calls from this number, so i switched my answerphone on again, and surprise surprise, noone actually leaves a message or talks.

He sounded like he was from Asia but said his name was Mario! He clearly wasn’t a plumber and had no mate called Luigi. Just another cold caller, wanted me to do some survey and first asked for whoever had the number before me. I only got this number recently ’cause the previous one was bombarded with annoying calls. Seriously, BT needs to sort this out.

They’ve been calling me like 3 times every single day this last week, always asking for someone with a Polish name. No clue how they ended up with my number, and it’s on my landline they keep ringing!

Answered the phone and a guy with an Asian accent was asking for Mrs Cartwright. I told him he’d got the wrong number. Then he asked if I was the legal owner of the phone line or something like that, which confused me. I said yes, and then he suddenly said, “Good afternoon madam, how are you today?” I just said I thought he wanted Mrs Cartwright and then ended the call. Still have no idea what that was about but seems like some kind of sales call to me.

Got a call around 7:26 this evening, like others here I didn’t pick up. I do see a few numbers on the list that look familiar. Feels like these annoying calls are everywhere nowadays.

They keep ringing non stop and bothering my poor elderly mum who’s also deaf. These calls are just ruining her life, happening all day and night.

I'm proper fed up with this number keep calling me all the time, even though I've signed up with the pft. They somehow keep ringing through. Whenever I pick up, there's no one there, so I leave my answer machine on to put them off, but they still keep calling and never leave a message. It's bad enough during the day, but they also ring super early in the morning or really late at night. Honestly, someone needs to sort this out and stop whoever is behind it.

Got a call at 9.15 this morning, thought it was about a parcel I was waiting for as they addressed me by my old surname. But then they said something about today's habit and wanted me to answer some questions, I refused and put the phone down. Just to clarify, my delivery is from Argos and arriving via Yodel. If anyone else is getting these calls and expecting a delivery, maybe we can figure out who’s passing on our numbers.

It felt like a right gag, like a bunch of youngsters trying to impersonate someone. I could hear muffled snickers and laughter in the background during the call - absolutely a prank, no doubt about it!

I've been inundated with pesky phone calls from someone looking for a 'Mrs Henry'. It’s rather annoying, as they promptly hang up the moment I inform them that I'm not the person they're after. The number that's been ringing me is 01526 33364.

This number keeps ringing but can’t connect since we got BT Call Guardian phones - honestly best purchase we've made. It blocks those 6 to 10 annoying calls every time. Really recommend it if you’re fed up with constant calls from UK or abroad.

0152633364 keeps ringing, but as soon as I pick up, they hang up straight away without a word, so I reckon it’s some sort of automatic dialler. If I don’t know the number, I just answer quietly and don’t say a thing, just let them keep waiting and getting more frustrated. The longer they stay connected, the more it’s costing them, so it’s kinda enjoyable watching them waste their time like that.

He wouldnt accept no for an answer. I told him I dont make purchases on the phone and eventually just hung up on him. Such a nuisance, just waiting for the next call now.

Somebody rang me at 8.30am yesterday and then again at 9 this morning, asking for me by name. I was waiting for a delivery call yesterday so I answered, but it turned out he was asking about my health, which was pretty weird. He sounded Asian, maybe Indian. I got really fed up today and told him off. I’m ex-directory, so no idea how they’ve got my details.

I had a phone call just after noon yesterday from someone who had a distinct Asian accent yet introduced himself with an English name. He was looking for Mrs Chambers, but when I inquired about the reason for his call, he abruptly ended the conversation. A quick check with 1471 showed the number was withheld. Then, today at 12:15, I received another message from a caller, again with an Asian accent, claiming to be called Alex. When I probed further about the nature of his call, he mumbled something about a company he was allegedly conducting a survey for. This time, I decided to hang up on him. I used 1471 again, and miraculously, this particular number was revealed. - caller: Asian Man
