Got a call from some telemarketer wanting to speak to the bloke who had my work number ages ago, like more than a decade back. Their 'records' must be totally ancient! I decided to tell him in a really serious tone that the guy had sadly passed away that very morning and asked for his name so I could pass it on to the lawyer handling the estate. Guess what? He just hung up on me. Proper heartless bloke!

I got a really impolite woman with an Asian accent who got proper angry when I told her to stop calling me. I couldn’t quite make out what they were saying - my phone marked the call as "Telemarketer", so I just left the phone down on my desk. Took them about a minute and 8 seconds before they gave up and ended the call. Fingers crossed that’s one fewer annoying call for someone else!

I received a call at 9:15 this morning on my mobile phone from a woman in India, inquiring about the 'man of the house.' I firmly told her to shove off! These types of calls bombard me roughly five or six times every week, both on my mobile and my landline. It’s such an annoyance!

They called me about some deals, asked me three questions which I answered, then when they tried to throw in more I just said "that's all from me" and blocked them. Didn’t feel dodgy or anything, just people trying to do their job, so no point getting nasty or anything.

So there I was, just about to fix myself a brew. I heated the water, poured it into the mug, and dropped the tea bag in... then suddenly the phone started ringing. It was so fast I couldn't even get to it, so I ended up ringing back. It was a lady from Asia who I had a quick chat with - actually quite pleasant. But when I got back to my tea, it was all cold and pointless. I’m out of work and don’t have many tea bags left. Honestly, I’m thinking of taking legal action against whoever distracted me and wrecked my cuppa. Absolutely annoying!

The call quality was so rubbish I couldn’t make out a word, but after reading other comments, I’m guessing they were spouting “love my offers” or something like that. Nope, not a fan of your so-called offers. I just ended the call and blocked the number right away.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying “just a couple quick questions”. I didn’t even reply, just ended the call and blocked the number right away.

I was driving and got a call, so I picked up on Bluetooth like I always do. There was silence on the other end, nobody said a thing. When I got back, I looked up the number on 'who called me' and after reading some comments, I decided to block it straight away!

I had two phone calls in quick succession from a number I didn't recognise, so I decided to hang up both times. After reading the comments here, it looks like I made a wise choice. Clearly, it was some sort of scam!

I received a call from someone who seemed rather articulate, but somehow they had my name and number. They acted like they were familiar with me, which felt really odd. I quickly suspected it was all nonsense, so I decided to end the conversation.

Got a call from this number around 8.50am today, usually I don’t pick up but was feeding my 6 week old so I just answered without checking. I said hello but no reply. Took a quick glance at the number and figured it's probably some annoying telemarketer so I just ended the call. After reading other comments I’m definitely going to block it now.
