I got a robocall warning me that my broadband service was about to be cut off. They asked me to press 1 to talk to someone, and when I did, the person said there was an issue with my router and my internet would be disconnected soon. I hung up straight away and rang TalkTalk myself. They told me everything was perfectly fine with my connection!

Got a call claiming to be from BT Openreach, but I’m pretty sure it was a scam. The guy kept insisting it was legit and asked me to have my computer ready. I told him I don’t even own a computer, which seemed to throw him off. Then he just hung up abruptly, no farewell or anything. If it had been a genuine call, would he really have been so abrupt and rude? There’s loads of calls going around supposedly from BT Openreach, but I’d be careful. "Mark" with an Asian accent fitted the stereotype exactly and honestly just wasted my time.
