This bloke with an Indian accent claimed he was calling from EE. When I told him I didn't want anything to do with it, he got quite annoyed, going on about how it was an important call. I told him to take my number off their list because of GDPR rules, and then he just cut me off. I ring back after and it went straight to voicemail, so I left a friendly little message for him! 🤣

Got a call just as I was waking up from someone claiming to be from EE. They wanted my email and where I live. Seemed dodgy, like one of those SIM swap cons.

Someone rang me saying my SIM card was going to expire the next day and needed to arrange for a replacement. They asked if I’d be home in the morning, to which I replied probably. I then questioned why I hadn’t received any prior email warnings about this. They promptly asked for my email address, but I didn’t give it. Instead, they sent a text message to my phone that looked like it came from EE and included a security code. They were convincing, but that’s when I got the feeling something was off and ended the call. Normally I’m super cautious, but this time they nearly had me.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming she was from EE. She said my SIM was about to expire the next day and offered to send me a new one. She asked for my email to "confirm" things, but I wasn’t convinced. So I asked her to verify my address on file if she was legit. She kept insisting I had to give her my email, which felt off. I told her I don’t respond to demands like that, then ended the call and blocked the number. Pretty clear this was a scam.

I didn't pick up cause the number was unfamiliar, and I had a feeling it might be one of those scam calls.

Somebody rang me saying they were from EE, telling me my sim card was about to expire which sounds totally unlikely since I use an eSIM. Then they asked for my email, so I just hung up and blocked the number. If they were really from EE, surely they’d already have my email on file.

Totally a scam, honestly the guy wasn’t even good at fibbing. Claimed he worked for EE but I knew straight away he was lying. Don’t pick up the phone if this number calls you. It’s just a trick to try and steal your cash, best to avoid it altogether.

They claimed my SIM card would be blocked, but when I asked for any evidence of being tracked, they couldn’t show me anything. Pretty fishy if you ask me.

Got a call at 12:04 on a Saturday from someone with an Asian accent, saying they were from AA. I asked if I was an AA customer or did he mean EE? He just kept saying “Yeah, AA customer.” When I asked him one more time, he just ended with “Alright, have a nice day, bye.” What a muppet - seriously, find proper work! I’ve reported it to both EE and AA.
