I keep getting loads of spam calls, it's really frustrating! Why on earth do they think it’s so important to talk to me? One time I got a call and they left only half a message, saying something about calling for a company, then just hung up straight away. Totally annoyed by this!

Got a voicemail from some recorded female voice pretending to be from HMRC. She said something like: "This is Officer Dennis Gray at HM Revenue and Customs. Please call back urgently on 01524954059, I repeat, 01524954059. Ignoring this or not hearing from your lawyer will have legal consequences." Sounds super shady because HMRC would never leave threatening voicemails like that. Also, that number doesn’t even work anymore. If you get calls like this, best to report them. Failure to return our call or to have your solicitor reach out will likely lead to serious legal repercussions. Best regards and take care." It's quite clear that HMRC wouldn't typically send out intimidating messages like this. The number provided has since been disconnected. I just received a rather alarming call about some supposed tax fraud from HMRC! This isn’t my first tango with phone scammers, so I had a few choice words to share with them, and trust me, they weren’t exactly polite! I’m absolutely exhausted by these con artists and constantly having to block their numbers. Thankfully, I’ve been using this fantastic app called CallBlocker from this site - it’s made the process of shutting down numerous dodgy callers incredibly straightforward. I can only imagine how many have been prevented from pestering me thanks to its nifty automatic blocking feature!

So, on 26/05/2020, I noticed 2 missed calls from this number and they even left 2 voicemails. The messages were supposedly from HMRC, sounding all robotic and urgent, saying something about a bloke named Dennis Grey at the start (or at least I think that was the name). They warned me about some 'time sensitive' matter and said to prepare for the consequences. Of course, I didn’t bother returning the call.
