After that, they just hung up! It would really help if such matters could be communicated in writing, as it’s rather important.

A caller rang and addressed us by name, claiming that I had won a holiday. However, they hung up as soon as we mentioned our number. Quite peculiar, to say the least!

As soon as we answered the call, the individual on the other end started belting out a tune for roughly five minutes before abruptly hanging up. Quite the peculiar experience, I must say!
