I answered the call and could hear some office sounds in the back, but then it just went silent! I’ve got no connection with whoever’s ringing this number at all!

Got a call from someone who said they were with Virgin Media, saying there was a problem with my internet. The guy called himself Jack Davies, but he spoke with a really thick Indian accent.

So, this bloke, who sounded like he might be from India or somewhere similar, said he was ringing from BT Openreach. Problem is, I never asked them to phone me. He said he got my personal landline number from BT Openreach but wouldn’t say exactly how or where. Oddly, he didn’t even bother to call me by my name - not even a sloppy attempt. Felt really sketchy.

Got a call from a number saying they were Virgin Media saying my router had issues. Thing is, I’m not having any problems at all. Usually, Virgin Media just send out a replacement router if there’s a real fault. Then, out of nowhere, the caller just hung up. Pretty shady if you ask me.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he was from BT Openreach. Turns out it was definitely a scam. Don’t fall for it!

I got a call from a woman claiming to be about my Sky connection, sounded like she was speaking from India and the line was terrible. I figured I'd let her chat for a bit, maybe waste their time, but when I asked who the Sky account was registered to, she just hung up on me. Pretty sure they were trying to get me to pay something if I'd kept talking.

Had two calls from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be Virgin Media, checking on my internet speed as if it was fluctuating between slow and fast. They kept asking daft questions that made no sense. Ended the first call pretty quick. Then a second call came through; I told the bloke my internet was fine, no issues at all. He got really annoyed and started acting rude, so I just hung up on him straight away.

blimey, these fraudsters must be having a field day today. just got a third call in as many minutes. when i picked up, it was completely silent, so i guess someone else poor sod got there before me.
