Some bloke called 'Alex' rang me claiming he was from TPS and asked me to confirm my address. It felt a bit off, so I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone saying they were with the telephone preference management, said they could block international calls too! Just to be clear, that's not the official telephone preference service, which doesn’t charge a penny. Total scam alert. When I told them BT Call Protect does that free of charge, I just ended the call quick. Absolute muppets trying to get your bank info. Make sure you block these dodgy numbers!
