Cheers for the heads-up, quite helpful! I got a couple of calls earlier today from unknown digits, around an hour apart. The second call was definitely dodgy. Both were suspicious - one caller claimed to be from the BT tech support team, trying to convince me, the other was selling cheap clothing, and a third one just sent me straight to voicemail. Classic scam attempts if you ask me! The more folks share their experiences with these calls, the better we can all stay alert and avoid getting caught out!

This woman with an Indian accent called me saying she was from Virgin Media’s internet support, since I’m a customer with them. But when I asked if she could tell me my IP address, she suddenly said the call was recorded and she couldn’t share that info due to privacy rules. I told her I’d get in touch with Virgin Media directly to check if there were any issues in my area, and then she just hung up on me.
