I’ve stopped dashing to pick up my landline phone, as it seems that a whopping 95% of calls are nothing but dodgy scams. My answerphone has taken over its duties quite nicely. To be honest, I don’t know a soul in Lincoln, which is what the area code indicates. It’s utterly tiresome dealing with these callers pretending to be from BT, Amazon, or Sky. The latest con involves household insurance claims about my washing machine and cooker!
