I received a rather dodgy phone call that can only be described as a classic Indian call centre routine, claiming to be from BT and insisting they needed to discuss some so-called problems with my router. They wanted me to hop onto my computer so they could supposedly perform some tests. I absolutely laid into the caller, convinced it was nothing more than a ruse to gain access to my machine. He promptly ended the call, which only affirmed my suspicions. If this was genuinely BT, they ought to rethink their approach, as the chap on the line was far from convincing.
