Had a call from a woman in Lincoln talking about how she was totally against people needing to sell their houses to pay for elderly care. I kindly explained that my family usually don't live beyond their mid 50s because of some cancer running in our genes, so her advice didnt really apply to me. WATCH OUT. Got a call from someone pretending to be Social Services trying to book a visit with an older woman. Contacted Social Services and they said they hadn’t made any calls. It’s definitely a SCAM, so stay alert everyone.

Got cut off by a very rude person when I didn’t seem all that interested in her ‘care home’ pitch. Could barely make out her Welsh accent anyway. Just really irritating and disrespectful!

Spoke to a very articulate woman who was keen to warn me about costly probate and care fees down the line. I tried to be polite and said, "I'm not interested in talking about this, thanks," but she kept pushing on quite forcefully. I ended up having to hang up on her. I've blocked the number since. If she mentioned the company’s name, I didn’t hear it properly.

I ended up telling my hubby that if we ever needed care, we might end up losing our home. Bit annoying they didnt realise they’d just woke him up since he does shift work and probs won’t need care for quite some time! They kept pushing too, could be quite frightening for older family members.

It sounded like some legal folks calling, telling me if I went into care I'd lose my house. I told them I've already signed it over to my son, but she was really insistent and said that wouldn’t matter. I'm on TPS so this is just a pest call targeting older people. They really ought to be stopped.

Got a phone call on 1st July 2015. They started talking about some Community Care Act stuff and hinted that if I ever needed care, I might have to sell my house. When I asked them where they got my details from, they just ended the call. Tried ringing back to that number and it won’t even pick up incoming calls.

01522 718862 phoned my father in law offering free care at a care home and said they'd like to visit. We made an appointment but luckily I got suspicious and called them back. First time no one picked up, then just an answerphone. When I called again, someone answered saying "Chattertons Legal" or something like that. I told them straight away we weren't interested and insisted they remove all our details from their database. We'll see if they stick to it or not.

What’s wrong with some folks? Don’t they realise how much damage these fake calls cause? Reported the number to both the police and the solicitors.

Tried calling both numbers they gave but couldn’t get through on either one. The numbers to be careful of are Lincoln 01522 718862 and 01522 719201, both completely unreachable and clearly fake. STAY ALERT!!!
