Got a call from someone with a weird accent claiming there was an issue with my internet. He tried saying he could fix it and would show me the problems by making me download suspicious files. He kept saying my provider was Virgin Media, which is definitely not true. When I told him I'd report the call, he just hung up straight away. Pretty sure it was a scam.

I received a call from a chap with a rather foreign accent who claimed he was having trouble with my internet connection. He insisted he could demonstrate the issues that were allegedly causing my system to download suspicious files. To my surprise, he mentioned my internet provider as Virgin Media-even though that’s not who I’m with! I told him I’d be reporting him for this nonsense, and just like that, he ended the call abruptly. Quite the dodgy encounter, I must say!
