I’ve got a nuisance call from the number 01332 873797 this afternoon, despite being signed up with the Phone Preference Service. Quite frustrated that these pesky calls still come through!

I’ve told them to take me off their list loads of times but this guy - no idea who he is - just keeps phoning, every time asking to check my machines. It’s a total scam, nothing to do with the real Kirby dealers in Liverpool. Honestly thinking about reporting it to the cops. The bloke’s proper rude, refuses to get his manager and keeps promising he’ll call me back, which he never does. I even shouted at him to stop ringing me and said I hope this call is being recorded! I’ve already let the Kirby head office know about this.

I received a call from someone claiming we'd won a free carpet cleaning for one of our rooms. Apparently, the catch was that we’d only get a voucher if we referred friends afterwards, should we be satisfied with the service. When I tried to explain that we’ve only just moved in and are in the midst of replacing all the carpets, the caller wouldn’t take no for an answer. Eventually, I conceded to offering a bedroom for the clean. However, she then started asking for personal details that I simply wasn’t comfortable sharing. She insisted that both myself and my wife needed to be present when they called back. I was left wondering why that was necessary! Ultimately, we decided against moving forward with the offer.

Watch out for RTS Services, they’re not to be trusted in the slightest. The only thing you’ll get from them is a complimentary carpet shampoo and a demo - forget about winning any car, I know because I actually used to work there. They mainly push Kirby home cleaning products and then charge ridiculously high fees for machine maintenance. The technicians they send out? Total dodgy characters. I even saw one bloke deliberately poke a screwdriver through a pipe just so he could charge for fixing it. Honestly, best to avoid these lot completely.
