4 yearsThis morning at 9:20, I received a call from a supposed company named Prestige, insisting that I remit payment for "the last three years of a five-year contract regarding a television insurance." The woman on the other end claimed I had settled the initial two years with a credit card, the digits of which she recited, and that she'd dispatched the relevant paperwork to my address (which she accurately stated) two years prior. However, I've never engaged in insuring household appliances and have no such records in my possession. My television was purchased new in 2018 and came with a five-year warranty. There’s absolutely no chance I would have opted for any insurance.
