Called me up insisting I’d joined some sort of financial scheme. Told him I work as a financial adviser and asked for his company name about five times, but he just wouldn’t give it and then suddenly ended the call. Definitely seems like a scam to me.

I rang the number again, but an automated voice informed me that all the agents were currently occupied and that I’d receive a call back shortly.

I got a call from a bloke who knew my name and started chatting about some investment schemes and stock market stuff. Then he passed me onto a woman, who was going on about money matters as well. I asked them to remove my number, but they flat out refused. Both had weird accents, sounded like they might be from Eastern Europe, maybe Poland or somewhere nearby. I told them straight up they're scammers and must’ve got my number through dodgy means or from some hacker. Don’t pick up if they call you and never give out your info, they’re likely trying to con you somehow.

As soon as I picked up, there was a sharp beep, then a man with an Eastern European accent started saying my name like he knew me. I didn’t catch everything, so I asked him to say it again. He mentioned some sort of investment opportunity. I said I wasn’t interested and asked how he got my number. Suddenly, he got all aggressive, threatening that he’d get hold of my family’s numbers too and ended up calling me a f****r before slamming the phone down. Pretty unsettling that they seem to have my info like that.
