They claimed I was involved in some tax fraud case but refused to say what name they had on file for me. Made me say my own name first, I was like, ‘you rang me, surely you know?’ They sounded like a call centre abroad, and when I said I didn’t believe them and asked for a letter instead, the woman got a bit rude.

Had about 9 calls back to back after blocking them, then nothing for a couple of days. It’s some kinda scam from claims line, total rubbish. I’ve deleted and blocked them for good and they’ll stay on my blocked list. From now on, I’m also blocking any number beginning with 01519 cos they keep trying different numbers in that area.

Some bloke rang me asking if I’d been in a car crash, I said no and then he asked if anyone in my family had been in one. I said no again and he just hung up. I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent asking for someone whose name isn’t mine. I told her I’m sick of getting calls meant for this person and asked her to remove my number as I never agreed to be contacted. Then she asks if I’d been in an accident! I asked which company she was with, and she said National Accident Helpline. I told her I’d be reporting them to the ICO.

Got a lady on the phone claiming I’d been in a car crash within the last couple of years - which is completely false, and I told her that. She just kept going on and on though, so I ended the call, blocked the number, and I’m planning to notify the ICO about it.

The person on the line asked for my and my hubby's first names, then looked up the number and gave a completely wrong address. When I asked about it, they just hung up. Really irritating random call.
