01519460048 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01519460048 👆 is reported as a persistent scam involving automated calls claiming unauthorised charges on your bank account, specifically referencing transactions with Amazon and international money transfers. Callers impersonate bank security staff, usually female voices, urging recipients to press buttons to cancel payments or speak to support. These calls often occur multiple times daily, sometimes delivering silent rings if unanswered. Recipients advise immediate disconnection without interaction, as legitimate banks do not request personal action this way. This scam targets account security fears, but no genuine bank procedure involves press-based responses to such alerts. Users are strongly cautioned to remain vigilant, avoid engaging, and contact their bank directly through official channels.

I received a rather alarming message this morning regarding my account. It mentioned a charge of £300 from Amazon, followed by a hefty £1000 withdrawal via an international money transfer. Both transactions raised my eyebrows, especially since I’ve never engaged with those services before. The message prompted me to press 1 to cancel the transactions or 2 to get in touch with their customer support. Quite concerning, isn't it?

Received a call this morning claiming to be from Barclays regarding two dubious transactions on my account-£300 for Amazon and another for £1,000 linked to an international money transfer. It sounded alarmingly like the previous message, so I decided to hang up immediately!

I've been receiving calls from this number on a daily basis, usually twice-it's becoming rather tiresome. When I ignore the call, it’s simply silence on the other end. However, should I pick up, a recorded message claims to be from "Bank Security." If I stay on the line, it eventually prompts me to interact by pressing buttons like 1 or 2, but I’ve consistently chosen to hang up before or right at that moment. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I had a rather alarming call from a lady who claimed she was with bank security. She mentioned something about a £300 charge linked to Amazon and a staggering £1,100 that was supposedly transferred overseas. I was told to press for cancellation and then hit '2' to get in touch with someone. It's quite baffling how these con artists seem to operate, assuming we've all just fallen off the proverbial turnip truck. I can't harp on enough about the importance of watching "Dirty Rotten Scammers" on BBC1; it’s quite the eye-opener, though slightly terrifying! One has to wonder if by pushing customers towards online banking, the banks are unwittingly paving the way for these despicable scams. It’s disheartening to see branches shuttering; I’ve lost two already, and it's quite concerning. Let's keep those physical branches open!

This morning, I received a rather dubious message from a woman’s voice saying: "We noticed two transactions that occurred today. The initial one is for £300 from Amazon, and the second one is quite hefty at £1100 from a foreign money transfer platform. These charges seem a bit suspect since you haven’t availed yourself of these services in the past. To cancel, press 1; to connect with our support team, press 2." Absolutely not happening!!!

I had a rather alarming call this morning, supposedly from Barclays. They claimed there were two transactions on my account: one for £300 from Amazon and a second for £1,000 linked to an overseas transfer. It all felt a bit fishy, so I ended the call rather swiftly!
