01519460048 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01519460048 👆 is reported as a persistent scam involving automated calls claiming unauthorised charges on your bank account, specifically referencing transactions with Amazon and international money transfers. Callers impersonate bank security staff, usually female voices, urging recipients to press buttons to cancel payments or speak to support. These calls often occur multiple times daily, sometimes delivering silent rings if unanswered. Recipients advise immediate disconnection without interaction, as legitimate banks do not request personal action this way. This scam targets account security fears, but no genuine bank procedure involves press-based responses to such alerts. Users are strongly cautioned to remain vigilant, avoid engaging, and contact their bank directly through official channels.

I got a call saying there was £300 spent on my card from Amazon, and another £1000 from some international money transfer. They said it looked fishy since I've never done those sorts of transactions before. The message told me to press 1 to cancel or press 2 to chat with their support team. It felt odd, like a scam or something.

Got a call about some purchases on my credit card that supposedly weren’t authorised. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

Got a call this morning saying there were two withdrawals on my bank account, one £300 from Amazon and another £1,000 sent overseas, supposedly from Barclays. The message sounded just like the one mentioned above. I ended up hanging up straight away!

I've been receiving calls from this number on a daily basis, usually twice-it's becoming rather tiresome. When I ignore the call, it’s simply silence on the other end. However, should I pick up, a recorded message claims to be from "Bank Security." If I stay on the line, it eventually prompts me to interact by pressing buttons like 1 or 2, but I’ve consistently chosen to hang up before or right at that moment. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

A woman called claiming to be from bank security, talking about £300 supposedly linked to Amazon and a £1,100 transfer abroad. Told me to press a button to cancel, then ‘2’ to speak to an advisor. When will these lot realise that none of us are born yesterday? Honestly, I’d really suggest people watch Dirty Rotten Scammers on BBC1 - it’s proper eye-opening, a bit scary, but really worth it. Do banks honestly think pushing everyone into online banking doesn’t lend weight to these scams? Please don’t shut down more branches; I’ve already lost two local ones.

Looks like some money has been taken out of my account without my permission. Not sure whats going on but definitely wasn’t me who withdrew it. Really worried about unauthorised charges like this.

Got a call earlier today from a woman who left a voicemail saying something like: "There are two transactions on your account this morning. One for £300 with Amazon and another for £1100 from some overseas money transfer. These payments look odd since you haven’t used those before. Press 1 to stop them, or 2 to speak with support." Yeah right, as if I’m falling for that!

I got a call from someone saying they were from my bank, but it turned out to be a scam. Later, I saw money missing from my account and only then realised it was all fake. Proper dodgy!
