This morning around 8.30 on the 1st of July, I got a call from 0151 379 2164. It was some recorded message pretending to be from HMRC, claiming I was under investigation for tax fraud and told me to "press 1" or there’d be consequences. Sounded pretty real, but I ended the call as I knew it was dodgy. Honestly, I’m quite annoyed to find out this scam’s been running from the same number for over three months now! Not very reassuring from both the government and phone companies. I’ve since reported it to Three’s scam reporting team and blocked the number straight away on my phone.

It's so frustrating when you pick up and all of a sudden, there's nothing but silence on the other end.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft or Windows, saying my PC had issues. I asked him to verify the IP address and then which computer he meant, and he just ended the call. Sounds like a scam to me.

Called by some bloke claiming to be Peter from the windows tech team, but I mentioned I'd already chatted with a Peter the other day, only he was from some telephone management service. Same name, just different rubbish. Then he just ended the call on me.
