I got two calls today - the first one sounded like a recorded message with a British accent telling me my internet was compromised. The second call was from an Asian lady, but I only caught a few words before I just ended the call.

He only said hello before hanging up straight away. I could tell he had an accent, but since a bloke picked up the phone, I guess he gave up quickly. I've gone ahead and blocked that number now.

Just got a call from someone claiming to be with the BT tech team about my internet. Funny thing is, it came right after I hung up from a mobile number which was some sort of automated message about the same issue. The second call came from a landline and sounded like an actual person, but I didn’t even bother to listen and just dropped the call instantly on both occasions. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

I got a call from a number that looked local but it was an Asian lady on the other end claiming she was ringing from BT. She wanted me to access my laptop so she could sort out some issue. I hung up straight away, didn’t trust it.

I got a call from someone who spoke pretty bad English, said his name was David Smith and that he was a BT engineer. He claimed there was unauthorised use of my broadband by others and wanted me to get on my laptop to fix it. I told him I was going to report the problem to the police instead, and then he just hung up.

I got a call from someone who sounded Asian claiming to be from BT, saying my internet was being hacked. Before that, I had a recorded message from a mobile number (07348 875310) with pretty much the same warning. When I told the guy I couldn’t really get what he was saying, he passed me to his “manager,” who was just as hard to understand. I asked for a number I could ring back on and a reference, but instead he rudely told me something like “how about you are a bé##”. The number he gave me to call back was 0161 818 9421. Such a dodgy call.
