Got this robocall pretending to be from HMRC warning me I’d be arrested if I didn’t answer. Total scam, obviously.

Like others have mentioned here, this BT number is a total hoax. They’re just trying to get your personal details to sell or use them somehow. It’s really risky if you’re not careful.

On 09/05/2020, Saturday at about 10:20, I had my answerphone on, and the person on the other end just ended the call without saying anything.

Got a weird call from an automated voice saying my Amazon Prime subscription was ending and if I wanted to renew it, it would be £79.99. They told me to press 1 to talk to someone about it. I didn’t do anything and the call just ended. For the record, I don’t even have Amazon Prime! Definitely a scam. I'm from Scotland.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon, saying I'd be charged £79.99 unless I pressed 1 to cancel a supposed subscription. They passed me to a ‘cancellation agent’, but I never signed up for Prime and told them that. The bloke insisted I must have done it accidentally. He said he was calling from London, but the number was from Liverpool. I checked my bank account straight away and rang my bank, who were familiar with this scam and cancelled my card. I also rang 0151-9339789, but the number wasn’t valid. To be safe, I removed my card details from Amazon UK too.

Today I got a call from a lady, sounded Asian, saying she was from BT. She warned me that someone had tampered with my internet and that my details might have been taken by others. Doesn't sound right to me, feels like a scam just to get access and rob you. Watch out!

Spoke to someone claiming to be from the bank, said I needed to verify my details. When I asked which account they meant, they just threw out some random digits. Ended up hanging up straight away.
