Mainstreme Limited, the firm behind this number, has been ringing up vulnerable folks and tricking them into handing over their bank info to set up direct debits. A mate of mine, who’s 79, got talked into giving his bank details for what they called Sky maintenance. He’s been coughing up £7.59 a month since 2014 for something he’s already paying Sky Protect with D&G for. It’s absolutely disgraceful! The direct debit’s been stopped now, but anyone else who’s been caught out by these lot really needs to take steps to stop any more payments going through.

Call came through around 2.54pm on the 8th of April, 2015. A bloke named 'Lee' rang me, claiming to be from Sky and talking about lowering the price of our Sky box insurance by a few quid. Thing is, the info he gave didn’t quite add up... He promised to send confirmation through the post. When that arrives - if it ever does - we’ll be sure to forward everything to the real Sky!

Got a call from Mainstreme, but the number was hidden. Weirdly, the number they gave on the 'contract' they sent matches it. The info was rubbish and they rang a Virginia media office by mistake. Wouldn't bother with them.

Received a call from this number, but they didn't bother to leave a message. Quite curious, isn't it?

Got a call from them earlier today and I assumed they were working for Sky, so I gave them my info. I rang the number they provided twice - the first time while the lady was still on the line, I just hung up as it seemed alright. But the second call, I’m pretty sure it was the same person. Later, when the engineer rang to confirm everything and mentioned the policy would be sent out, I told them to cancel it and not to start any direct debit. They called back shortly after, obviously annoyed I’d refused, saying they thought I was fine with the plan. I explained I’d checked with Sky and since these guys only handle Domestic and General, I wanted to stick with my current provider. She wasn’t too pleased but I kept firm that I didn’t want it. I’ll be watching my direct debits carefully from now on.
