When I pressed him for how he obtained such details, he became fixated on discovering my role within the company. Naturally, I requested his number so I could have a colleague get in touch. His tone shifted rather quickly, insisting he was merely attempting to assist me while still badgering me about my position. I then asked him for his name and the name of his firm, to which he curtly replied to jot down whatever I liked before abruptly hanging up.
