this lady on the phone said her name and the company she worked for, then asked if i’m the one paying the bills. before i could say anything, she jumped right into asking who supplies my energy. i told her i wasn’t up for a chat and just put the phone down. surely it’s only polite to check if i’m even interested before grilling me for info? but i guess that’s not how cold callers roll. blocked the number after that.

So yesterday I signed up on the avanti west coast trains site to join the commuter club, mainly just to check out what prices they had.

Got a call saying they were conducting a review of my Scottish Widows policy. When I questioned why, they said it was just part of their job. I then wanted to know how they got my number, but instead of answering, they kept going on about all the firms they work with. When I pressed again, the bloke just ended the call. I've blocked this number now and reckon anyone else getting calls from them should do likewise.
