I received a rather dubious call purporting to be from a company looking for feedback regarding a motor accident insurance claim. Funny thing is, I haven’t made a claim in ages! I asked the chap for his company's contact details and address, but wouldn’t you know it, he claimed he didn’t have that info on hand. To top it off, when I probed about the name of the insurance provider he was representing, he was utterly stumped. It seems pretty clear to me that this is just a sneaky attempt to gather personal information, probably for some less-than-reputable intentions.

Had the exact same thing happen - first call was about some “feedback,” but when I tried to find out who they were or what company they were from, and asked to speak to a manager, the bloke wanted off the call asap. He actually hung up on me when I said I could hold for an hour until his supervisor was available. Feels like a proper scam to me. Yeah, just like others mentioned, this is definitely a scam. They claimed I could get anywhere from £1800 to £4000 for a car crash I had. But I was parked and got bumped by a car going at literally 1 mile an hour!!! Sure, there was some damage but my insurance is sorting that out. My insurer told me they know about this scam and said these people steal info from the national accident records illegally.
