Some bloke called Jordan phoned me and asked why I was being aggressive. When I asked who he was, I just said bye Jordan and hung up. Honestly, that’s not how you should do business. He started with "Hi, is this L###?" and I said yes, then asked who he was. He goes, "It’s Jordan, why are you being aggressive?" Bit of a strange approach. Maybe I should’ve just listened and wasted his time instead.

Some bloke rang and asked for me by my first name. I asked who was on the line and he just said, "Hi (my name), how's it going?" I asked him again who he was, and then he said, "You're being rude, I’m not telling you now," so I just ended the call. Definitely felt like a scam or something dodgy. Got a call today, caller knew my name right away. Said it was a medical survey related to life insurance, claimed they weren’t selling anything. Told them I’m fine with my current life insurance and not interested. When I tried to end the call, the guy goes, “Why you gotta be so tough on me?” That’s when I stopped being nice and just hung up. No way I’m dealing with that again, so I blocked the number.

Then he asked if I had £15,000 saved for my funeral. I asked which funeral directors he uses, as we just laid my father-in-law to rest for only £1200. Then he had the cheek to ask if I have kids? Proper rude. Told him to get lost and blocked the number immediately!

Just had a ring from this number - some bloke called Jordan Parker who was clearly fibbing. When I asked questions he seemed unsure and dodgy. Anyway, I asked him for the main office contact and the company name, which he claimed was Pinnacle, saying it was about my life insurance risk check. I told him I’d call back later to chat. The minute I rang the head office, he let out a sarcastic sigh and hung up on me. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Just inform them you'll be reporting their call to trading standards because they’re pretending to be your insurance company, which isn’t true. Plus, they’ve got your info which breaks the Data Protection Act 2018 (GDPR). Holding onto, using, and sharing your details like that is actually a criminal offence, and both they and the firm could face legal action for it.
