This has got to end, honestly! Someone kept telling me I had 90,000 in bitcoin and needed to open an account and pay 20% upfront. Absolutely bonkers and seriously annoying.

I got a call from this number and the person on the line said her name was Mikkel, claiming to work as a market analyst for btccrest. Does anyone else know anything about her or this bloke Paul Spencer? He supposedly is an investment manager with the same firm. They mentioned they’re based around the Gulf and Singapore. The phone number they used was 0151 8320120. Just wondering if others have had similar calls.

If you’re stuck with nothing to do, just humour them for a bit. Waste about half an hour chatting. Then, chuck in some random noises down the line and hang up. Or better still, explain the whole situation to them, listen to them getting all riled up, and finish off by jokingly threatening to do something mad like cut their throats. It’s a weird way to pass time but strangely satisfying!

Got a call from someone saying they were with the financial conduct authority, telling me there was suspicious activity. Totally a scam, don’t fall for it!
