Talk Talk insists that she made multiple calls to it, remaining connected throughout the night, which seems rather peculiar. To add to the distress, this number had previously reached out to her, attempting a rather elaborate scam. The individual on the line was a well-spoken chap, presenting himself as a British gentleman. He seemed to know an alarming amount of personal information about her, right down to her age, how long she’s occupied her residence, and even her banking transaction history, including that £100 charge from Talk Talk. He spun a tale about investigating fraudulent activities at Nat West Bank and alleged compromised accounts. It was incredibly convincing given the depth of his knowledge. Thankfully, she managed to get to her local Nat West branch in time to alert them to the situation.
