But then this same number actually rang her with a proper detailed scam. The man on the phone sounded educated and British, and freakishly knew loads about her - like how long she’d been at her house, her birthday, all her account info, even transactions including that Talk Talk charge. He said he was working on some NatWest Bank fraud case and that her accounts were hacked. It all sounded so genuine because he had all that info. Luckily, she went straight to her NatWest branch and told them what happened. Honestly, don’t pick up or call back if this number appears, or anyone who rings saying it’s about your bank being hacked.Talk TalkNat West BankNat West3 yearsMy mother-in-law found this number on her phone statement showing she made a call really late at night, probably after she was asleep.
