I recently had the misfortune of participating in a rather nonsensical phone survey regarding mobile usage. It truly exemplified a textbook case of how not to conduct market research. The caller’s rambling was often unintelligible, punctuated by what seemed like a marathon of heavy breathing as they rummaged for the next question on their list. To make matters worse, some queries were simply repeated; I found myself answering the same question twice within the span of a few minutes! It was all rather baffling. The outfit behind this mishap goes by Clear Telecoms. In a rather cunning twist, we intentionally fed them a few falsehoods in our responses. This way, we’ll be able to ascertain if they sell off our personal information later on.

What a completely nonsensical phone survey regarding mobile usage! It's the epitome of how market research should absolutely not be conducted. The caller could barely be understood half the time, with their heavy panting in between each inquiry, as if they were sprinting for a bus. To make matters worse, some of the questions were annoyingly repetitive - I had already provided my answer just two queries prior! The organisation behind this nonsense is Clear Telecoms. We intentionally fed them a fabricated response, so we’ll be able to know if our contact information ends up in someone else's hands.
