Got a call from someone claiming to be from ILM about helping with my pension, but it obviously wasn’t the real ILM. I cut them off straight away to ask how they got my work number, and then the call just dropped. Shouldn’t have even given them a few seconds, really.

I'm in Australia now and for the last four hours I've been getting calls from yet another pension scammer. I have no clue how they got my phone number since I'm not on any of those silly social media sites or anything like that. I'm starting to think maybe Virgin Pensions leaked my details or something. I've had calls from about 20 different numbers so far, but I just don’t pick up and block every one of them.

Some woman claimed to be ringing from Ireland, but the connection was awful. I just ended up hanging up.

watch out, these calls aint from ilm financial ltd, theres another firm called ilm global (international lead management) that might be doing cold calls. we already told the fca and action fraud here in the uk about this. best thing to do is just hang up if anyone rings about your pension. some fca spokesperson said not long ago that "any cold call about a pension is probably trying to rob you of your money".
