Got a call from someone claiming they were from Aviva, but I reckon it was just a scam.

They keep ringing me every day saying they’re from Legal & General, but the number they’re calling from definitely isn’t their official one.

Someone called saying they were from Aviva, but the number didn’t match any policy number I have and I couldn’t find any connection to Aviva by searching the number online. I ended the call. Then, about five minutes later, a nearly identical number, with only a few digits changed, rang me again, claiming to be Aviva. When I asked if they could send something in the post to prove it, they said they’d rather discuss it over the phone. It just didn’t sit right with me, so I didn’t feel safe continuing.
