I got a call from an automated message saying it was the UK HMRC. The robocall insisted I owed taxes and kept threatening with arrest if I didn’t “press one” to speak to someone to sort it out. It said a “warrant” would be issued and I’d be arrested soon. Honestly, it’s shocking that these scammers haven’t been caught yet. You’d think with all the tech we have now, they’d be found and stopped. If you get a call like this, don’t worry - that’s not how HMRC ever contacts people. It’s 100% a scam. Just hang up straight away!
