Got a call from 0151 6784394 with some automated voice saying my internet was at risk and might get disconnected. Didn’t bother to go any further. When I checked online, it seems like this scammer has quite a few different phone numbers they use.

If you end up chatting with these lot, whatever you do, don’t let them take control of your computer. They might say they’re fixing it but actually they block it, then blame a virus, and demand a huge amount of cash to unlock it again. It’s basically ransomware in disguise.

I got a call from some woman with this super robotic American accent, saying my internet was hacked and would be disconnected soon. She threw in something about California which made no sense. Totally rubbish, so I just hung up.
