Got a recorded message saying it's from TalkTalk, but it's clearly not real. They told me to press 1 to talk to someone or they'd cut my service off. This is the second time today, and they've used different phone numbers both times. So irritating!

I checked the 1471 on my BT phone and the phishing call came from 0151 655 3936. When I asked for a number to ring back on, the caller gave me 01793 596931. They went out of their way to give a name and employee ID, like they were trying hard to sound legit. After they shared that info, they quickly asked me to log into my computer or laptop. I said, “No way,” and they just ended the call straight away.
