I found myself rather wary when I got a phone call from this number claiming they needed to discuss my ESA claim and urged me to ring them "right away." The message didn’t start with my name, which is something I would expect from the DWP, and the overall wording was far from the professional standard I’d anticipate from such an official organisation. Surely, the DWP would make a polite request rather than issue demands, and they would be more likely to say, "Please give us a call at..." instead of just "right away!" It all seemed quite dodgy if you ask me.

A mate of mine got a text from this number, similar to what others have noted, asking for information and if they could call back. So, she contacted the jobcentre, and they assured her they would never communicate like that. Quite dodgy, really! I attempted to ring the number myself, but it just went silent. It's quite unsettling to consider what these people might be up to with the personal details of those who engage with them. Moreover, it's puzzling how they seem to know so much about individuals' benefit statuses. Where on earth are they sourcing the phone numbers from, I wonder?

I just got a message from the DWP, supposedly about my ESA claim, urging me to ring this number. Thought I’d do a quick search to see if it's the real deal, but there's not a whole lot of information out there about it. I’m wary of sharing personal details over the phone, so I’ll give it a go but will proceed with caution. I’ll let everyone know how it turns out!
