Got this automated call claiming to be from my bank, saying there were two suspicious charges on my account - one for £300 and another £1100, supposedly from Amazon and a foreign bank transfer. They told me to press 1 to confirm or 2 to speak to someone. I hit 2 and got connected to a lady with an Indian accent who said she was from VISA security. I asked her which VISA card she meant, and she replied Barclays VISA card. When she asked for my name, I told her straight up that I knew it was a scam. She just hung up after that. Total scam alert!

I got a call from a woman who said she was from Bank Security. She told me there had been two transactions on my card, one for £300 from Amazon and another for £1,100 from some other company. She then told me to press 1 if I wanted to approve the payments or 2 if I didn’t. I knew it was a scam right away, so I just hung up.

01516317841 Got a call with a woman’s recorded voice, but the first bit didn’t even come through on my voicemail. It was one of those typical scams about some suspicious activity on ‘your card’, talking about a £300 charge on Amazon and over £1000 sent abroad. They said press 1 to okay the payments or 2 to chat with their support team. Didn’t take any chances - blocked the number straight away.
