Just got a call from someone called Joe, said he was from Advantage Energy, talking about insulation and new windows. When I asked for their Company Registration number, he couldn’t provide it. I checked and the only company with that name was struck off in 2018. Seems like another dodgy grant scam - you only get those gov grants if you’re on specific benefits, and it’s the homeowner who has to apply, not some random cold caller on the phone.
