8 monthsGot a call from 01515597696 and all I could hear was loads of background noise, like maybe a call centre or something, but then they just hung up. Looked it up afterwards and it seems like a sketchy number. Definitely gonna block it now!8 monthsJust got a call from someone claiming to be with the housing disrepair team, but it’s definitely a scam. They’re trying to target folks in council or housing association homes with problems. Feels like they're looking to con people out of money or stir trouble. I reckon this started happening after the Awwabs law was introduced. Watch out for these dodgy calls!8 monthsSome bloke rang me saying his name was Llewellyn, but he sounded like he was from India! Claimed he worked for the council’s disrepair unit. I got a bit suss with him since I’d had a similar call about a year ago and told them to remove my details. He got a bit stroppy and told me to calm down, which just made me more annoyed. I told him to jog on, hung up, and blocked the number. The odd thing is, the number showed up as being from Liverpool, but I live in Birmingham. When I asked what council he was from, he just talked over me and didn’t give a straight answer. Total nonsense.LlewellynIndiaLiverpoolBirmingham8 monthsGot a call from a Liverpool number totally random, they actually knew my name and even mentioned where I live. They were talking about some tenancy matter but it felt a bit off. The call got cut shortly after, probaly when they figured I wasnt falling for it. Better not share any details, just end the call and block these numbers! Stay alert and stay safe!Liverpool8 monthsSome bloke with a English name but definitely sounded Indian was asking me about landlord stuff and housing. I told him thanks but no thanks after giving my address, and when I said it’s already being sorted he got really annoyed and just hung up on me! I’ve blocked the number now.Submit Your Own Report (0151 559 7696)
