This number said they were from O2 but I seriously doubt it was actually O2 calling. Felt off and didn't sound legit at all. Definitely seems like they were pretending to be from O2, but not the real company. Pretty shady if you ask me.

Got a phone call the other day claiming to be from O2, but the person on the line spoke really broken English and I could barely make out what they were saying. They said I could get 20% off my monthly O2 bill. Then they told me they’d send a one-time code via text, which I’d have to repeat back to them. Sounds like if I’d done that, they would’ve gotten into my O2 account. Luckily, I wasn’t fooled and hung up straight away.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be JHONE from the UK. Total scam, don't trust them! Just a bunch of thieves trying to pull a fast one.

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2 offering a 40% discount. They wouldn’t give me the exact new bill amount and tried to send a verification code that would’ve given them access to my account and let them buy a phone. Definitely one of those classic scams.

Got a call earlier and there was complete silence at the other end, bit creepy really.

Got a call that seemed like it came from some call centre, the bloke said he was with EE and could sort me out with a 40% discount. He asked how much I was paying right now, but I told him if he was really offering a deal, he should already know my bill. Then I asked if he had my address so he could send the offer through the post - turns out he didn’t have that either. So I just ended the call.
