I got a call from this number, and it left a voicemail claiming to be HMRC. The message said to press one of two options, but it didn’t use my name at any point. It warned that if I didn’t get back in touch, I’d face arrest pretty quickly. The bloke’s voice sounded like a guy from the Home Counties, kind of stern and official. I spoke with HMRC afterwards, and they said they never ring you without confirming who they are first or threatening like that. Sounds like a total scam to me.
