I've fallen victim to a scam, losing £70 in the process. I honestly feel like a right fool. When I reached out to the fraud team at my bank, they had the cheek to call me and suggest that if I withdrew my complaint, they’d approve my loan. When I declined, they threatened to freeze my bank account until I reversed my complaint. I told him that was against the law, and he launched into a diatribe about why the bank had turned down my loan application. I asked him how on earth he knew any of that. He continued to insist he'd still freeze my account. I told him to proceed, as the police were already involved. After that, he ended the call abruptly. Honestly, for goodness’ sake, just don’t pick up the phone if you see this number. Now I’ve had to cancel my plans for a festival thanks to these fraudsters. - Caller: 0151 528 7382

I received a rather dubious call from someone claiming to be offering me a loan. They assured me that I had been accepted, but insisted that I needed to pay the first month's fee upfront, which amounted to £145. I went along with it, only to find out later that they wanted an additional payment for some sort of insurance before they could supposedly release my funds. I foolishly handed over another £199. Now, every time I try to reach out, they hang up on me without fail. The chap's name was Rodrick, and I'm now convinced it's a complete scam. The company they mentioned was LoansToYou. Please, don’t make the same mistake I did!

I've fallen into a right pickle with these con artists. Foolishly, I handed over my cash in advance, and now I'm left in a pickle. Seriously, steer clear of these deceivers!

I've forked out an £85 fee for their so-called service, and now they're demanding an extra £129 for tax, which they assured me I'd get back with my loan. I've realised now that something's not right, and I'm seriously considering reporting this whole shambles to the authorities. I can't believe how gullible I've been. I've also been waiting for them to ring me back this Friday as I specifically requested. What a palaver!

I encountered a similar issue; it certainly feels like a con to me, as they were insistent on receiving payment in advance.

I recently submitted an online application for a loan, fully believing everything was sorted. After making an initial payment of £195, I received a follow-up call requesting an additional £279 for tax fees that were supposedly to be included in the loan amount. In sheer disbelief, I reached out to the police, and as I was on the line with them, the caller rang back, unleashing a tirade of insults. Honestly, steer clear of these con artists and take heed from my mistakes! - caller: Christopher Joseph Sameday Funds

I submitted an online application for a loan and was promptly contacted by the number 0151 528 9042. I tentatively agreed to proceed with the loan; however, I was plagued with uncertainty. To quell my concerns, I turned to the internet and, after a brief search, stumbled upon a myriad of reviews that left me questioning whether I was on the brink of becoming a victim of fraud. Further digging revealed that the company claims to be based in Doncaster, yet their phone number seems to originate from Liverpool, and their payment account is registered in Leicester. As a proprietor myself, all of my business-related details - bank accounts, phone numbers, and so on - are meticulously aligned within the same locality. It raises a red flag as to why a legitimate company would operate so chaotically. During a phone conversation in which I sought clarification, the chap on the other end was exceedingly rude and utterly unable to provide coherent answers to my straightforward inquiries. I urge everyone to steer clear of these con artists. Thankfully, I didn't divulge any of my banking information or send over any cash. I plan to report them to the authorities. - Caller: 01515289042

I recently tried to take out a loan via the internet, and a number rang me, claiming I'd been approved. They called themselves Same Day Funds. They asked for my first month's payment straight away, along with some fees and PPI insurance. Regrettably, I didn’t catch on to the ruse until my husband returned home from work and pointed out I had been duped. Now I’m left in a horrible financial predicament, hundreds of pounds poorer. Please, do yourself a favour and steer clear of this! I encountered three different individuals during the calls: Roderick Braga, David Perera, and Valerie Speciman - the number was 01515289042.

I received a rather dubious phone call from this firm, claiming that for the sum of £55 tomorrow, I could supposedly receive £500 immediately. Admittedly, I was tempted at first, but after reading various accounts about this, I've completely changed my mind and will not be proceeding with it.
