I've never experienced a scam call before; however, I had just listed something on Gumtree mere moments prior, so I'm led to believe my number might have been compromised during a data breach. Eventually, I was escalated to a "supervisor" who insisted he did not belong to a call centre, but upon further questioning, he inadvertently revealed it was indeed a call centre. When I asked for their address, he provided 37 Charlton Street, Rochdale, and when I pressed for the name of the call centre to look it up myself, the line suddenly went dead.
