Just got a call saying there’s been two transactions on my card. Honestly, it’s a total scam - best to just hang up straight away!

Just got a call at 11.45 from a man with a strong accent working in what sounded like a hectic office. He said my internet was hacked and asked me to switch it on so he could inspect it. When I asked for ID, he gave me this number, but no one picked up when I called back!

So, I got a call from someone claiming to be from BT, sounded like he wasn’t local, saying there was an issue with my internet. He swore up and down it wasn’t a scam and even gave me a number to ring back to confirm it was really BT contacting me. But when I call that number, it just keeps ringing and no one picks up. Bit dodgy if you ask me.
