However, the very next day, I was informed that I needed to pay £140 for my first monthly instalment before I could receive the funds. To my dismay, no money ever arrived. Then, I got another call later the same day requesting a further £199 for some sort of insurance and tax. I went ahead and paid that as well, but still nothing came through. Merely an hour later, I received yet another call asking for £229. I flatly refused, stating I would escalate the matter, and was then told I’d never see my money again. The same individual has since called me from this number, as well as two other different ones.
