Just a quick update on my previous comment. I've reached out to the company mentioned and gave them a heads up about this. They're going to look into it more closely.

I got a call telling me my dad won £2000 from Barleys Bank lottery, but this sounds like a complete rip-off to me. Definitely a scam!

Loads of people have been tricked by this number, saying they’ve won a lottery but then they want you to send them cash. It’s a proper scam and plenty have lost thousands because of it.

I strongly urge you to steer clear of any financial dealings or discussions with this individual, regardless of whether they go by a man's or woman's name. Mark my words-it's a complete scam. I fell for it myself a couple of years back and it was a valuable lesson learned. I recommend reaching out to your local law enforcement and sharing any details you can about this matter, as they need it to launch an investigation.

Got a few calls from someone claiming to be from Barclays, saying I had a big cheque waiting but needed to provide a noc (no objections certificate) from the lottery. They told me to ring the lottery on 0016075275557 and said it was a free number. I went to Barclays myself and they told me they'd never get in touch like that asking for stuff. I told them I'd call the police if they phoned me again, but they didn’t seem to care that someone was pretending to be from Barclays.

This morning, I received a rather dubious phone call informing me that I had bagged a whopping £92,000 from some supposed lottery linked to Barclays Bank in Canada. Naturally, my instincts kicked in, and I decided to ring up Canada for a bit of clarification. Unsurprisingly, they were fishing for upfront payments before anything else. I gave them a piece of my mind, to say the least! Oh, and just to add to the annoyance, this cheeky call originated from Liverpool. Can you believe it? That makes two scams I've encountered today alone!

I'm hoping someone can assist me in confirming a rather troubling matter. A chap by the name of Anthoney Smith, who claims to be a manager at Barclays Bank, has already taken £450 from me. I've got the bank details for the transfer where this money went. Any guidance on how to verify his legitimacy would be greatly appreciated!

Got a weird ring earlier from someone who was pretty clueless about who they were trying to reach. When I asked what the call was about, they just kept quiet but eventually said their name was Michael Jackson. Bit odd if you ask me.

This morning, I received a rather dubious call purporting to be from 'Barclays Bank'. The caller insisted I had won a whopping £92,000 in a lottery from earlier this year, which apparently I had neglected to claim. Strangely, this individual had my name and address, yet didn’t ask for any bank details. Instead, I was given a Canadian number to ring, should I wish to confirm my acceptance of this alleged windfall. After a quick visit to my local branch for reassurance, they confirmed they had no record of the number provided. Please be cautious! Just to clarify, I didn’t bother dialing Canada! The chap mentioned a Barclays office in Liverpool, but I couldn't help but notice his Indian accent and that his surname was 'Gibson'.

This morning, I received a rather intriguing call purporting to be from 'Barclays Bank'. They claimed I'd won a staggering £92,000 in a lottery draw from earlier this year, which I apparently haven’t yet claimed. Strangely, the caller was aware of both my name and address, yet didn’t request any banking information. Instead, they provided me with a Canadian number to allegedly confirm my intent to claim the funds. However, after visiting my local branch, they assured me that they had no record of such a call or number. So, take heed! And just to be clear, I didn’t bother dialling into Canada!

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Barclays saying I’d won £92,000 in some kind of lottery. They strangely knew my name and address, but never asked me for any bank info. They did give me a bank phone number, 01515285117, but when I tried checking it, I couldn’t confirm if it was legit. Just a heads up to be careful out there!
