I got a call telling me my dad won £2000 from Barleys Bank lottery, but this sounds like a complete rip-off to me. Definitely a scam!

Loads of people have been tricked by this number, saying they’ve won a lottery but then they want you to send them cash. It’s a proper scam and plenty have lost thousands because of it.

Avoid giving any cash or even talking to this person, it's definitely a scam. I fell for it a couple years back, trust me on this one. Best to reach out to your local cops and share everything you know so they can look into it properly.

Got a few calls from someone claiming to be from Barclays, saying I had a big cheque waiting but needed to provide a noc (no objections certificate) from the lottery. They told me to ring the lottery on 0016075275557 and said it was a free number. I went to Barclays myself and they told me they'd never get in touch like that asking for stuff. I told them I'd call the police if they phoned me again, but they didn’t seem to care that someone was pretending to be from Barclays.

So this morning, I got a call from this number saying I'd won £92,000 in some lottery supposedly linked to Barclays Bank in Canada. I wasn’t buying it, so I rang up Canada myself and sure enough, they wanted me to pay some upfront fees. Told them where to stick their offer. Funny thing is, the call actually came from Liverpool. That’s the second dodgy call I’ve had today!

Can anyone check if this is legit? The guy said his name was Anthony Smith and that he’s a manager at Barkley bank. I’ve already sent him £450, and I’ve got the bank info where I transferred the money from. Feeling a bit worried now.

Got a weird ring earlier from someone who was pretty clueless about who they were trying to reach. When I asked what the call was about, they just kept quiet but eventually said their name was Michael Jackson. Bit odd if you ask me.

They knew my name and where I live but never asked for any bank info. They gave me a Canadian number to call back to confirm I wanted the money. I popped into my local branch to check and they had no record of that number at all. Just a heads up! <br>Didn't bother ringing the Canadian number by the way!<br> Caller said they were from a Barclays branch in Liverpool but spoke with an Indian accent and their surname was ‘Gibson’, which felt odd.

This morning I got a call from someone claiming to be from Barclays saying I'd won £92,000 in a lottery sometime earlier this year which I hadn't claimed yet. They actually knew my full name and where I live, but strangely, never asked for my bank info. They gave me a Canadian number to ring back to "confirm" I wanted to receive the money. I popped down to my local branch just to check and the staff said no such number was linked to them. Just a heads up!
Didn’t end up calling that Canadian number, needless to say!

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Barclays saying I’d won £92,000 in some kind of lottery. They strangely knew my name and address, but never asked me for any bank info. They did give me a bank phone number, 01515285117, but when I tried checking it, I couldn’t confirm if it was legit. Just a heads up to be careful out there!
