11 yearsGot a call from 0151 528 3518 claiming to offer loans even if your credit is rubbish. Don’t fall for it, they ask for your personal info and it’s just a way to rip you off. Total scam, watch out!11 yearsHad the same nonsense happen to me just yesterday. They told me I had to pay £140 upfront since I didn’t have a guarantor, but even after paying that, no loan was given. Then, they tried to get me to fork out another £189, saying it was for something else I supposedly owed - which they said would get refunded, but of course that never happened! Still no sign of a loan. Next up, they wanted £111 for some money transfer fees! They even insisted I send cash through Western Union or something daft like that. After I pushed back, they threatened to cancel my application, claiming I was being suspicious and rude (which honestly, anyone would be if they caught on to their scam). Then they demanded £75 as a cancellation charge, for a loan that was never given to me in the first place! I told them I’d report them to trading standards, the police, and the watchdog, and one bloke even said I was making him nervous. Haha, right. So now I’m down £338 and no loan in sight. Tried calling back but the phone just won’t ring. To top it all off, the website they gave me isn’t even theirs - I checked it myself! Proper disgusting scam. The number was 01515283581 if anyone’s wondering.Western Union11 yearsTotally get where you’re coming from. Those bastards even messed around with my bank info - absolute nightmare. I’ve reported it to Action Fraud and warned them it’s still going on. You might want to do the same, though honestly, I’m not hopeful we’ll see our cash again. It’s heartbreaking how these lowlifes target older folks and decent people. They really deserve a harsh punishment! It’s shocking that the law could probably catch them but no one seems bothered. I’m planning to track them down.LiverpoolDes11 yearsThe caller was shouting loads of swear words at me and kept threatening to shut down my account just because I hadn’t paid the initial instalment they asked for. The number showing up was 0151 528 3518 from Liverpool, England.CallerLiverpoolEngland11 yearsMy mate got a call from 01515283518, saying they were from Norton Finance and needed £60 upfront for admin before approving a loan of £1000. Then the next day, they phoned again, now asking for another £150. My mate’s partner told them to get lost, said it was definitely a scam. We checked with the real Norton Finance, who confirmed they never made the call and had had loads of similar reports recently. We've also let local Trading Standards know, though I bet they’re on to it already.
