got a call about covid, they asked if i’d had it. i said yes. then they started asking about life insurance. told 'em 3 companies already turned me down. they go “why’s that?” i replied “because i’m dead.” caller just hung up straight away.

I've received several calls from this number and others like it. Just today, the caller claimed to be from a credit investigation team, but oddly enough, yesterday the same voice was insisting they were with the NHS, asking about my COVID vaccinations. Clearly, this is some dodgy scammer fishing for personal information. I've blocked the number, but I have no doubt they'll just ring from a different one next time. Best to stay cautious!

So this bloke rings me up saying he's from the 'NHS Covid 19' team. I told him straight away that I’m a solicitor working for the NHS, so if he was genuine, he’d know who I was before calling. Pretty sure that wound him up because he started swearing at me and said I shouldn’t be too clever. I couldn’t help but laugh, then he hung up. Definitely a win for me, not so much for him!

He never mentioned being from NHS England, just said he was from the Covid 19 helpline! I told him I wasn’t interested in his useless advice and that any info I needed would come from my GP or NHS England, definitely not Boris Johnson. Then he just ended the call.
