They're based in the UK, engineers looking for jobs around here to fix or service stuff at home. They’ve sorted my Dyson out really well, and I pay a small monthly charge, like what two coffees cost, and whenever my Dyson’s acting up, they help out and even supply parts. I’ve had a couple of repairs done on my Dyson, and honestly, it’s good value, quick, and proper professional. It also helps keep things out of landfill and keeps people working. Cheers!

I use this "Announced Call" feature for calls from unknown numbers. When this particular number showed up, it was labelled as "Child Welfare Centre". Thinking I should be responsible, I picked up and said in a light tone, “Child Welfare Centre here, how may I assist?” They hung up straight away - guess they didn’t expect me to actually answer their spiel. If even a few of the reviews about this company are accurate, they’re clearly up to no good. I’ve blocked the number and suggest you do likewise!

Got a call outta nowhere about "my Dyson"! Told them I swapped it out like 20 years ago for a newer vacuum - seriously, that’s ancient history. Ended up blocking the number, which I reckon must be linked to some old shop in Stockport Kirby that’s shut down ages ago.

This number belongs to the Vacuum Service Centre down in Liverpool. They mainly fix Dysons, but I’ve noticed they don’t always use authentic parts. For usual replacements like cables, filters, roller brushes or belts, it’s usually third party bits. For older vacuums, they tend to take parts from other machines they’ve repaired. The place is run by the same owner as Kirby Service Centre on 0151 521 6688, which is even worse - they push you really hard to get a new cleaner costing around £1000.

Some bloke rang saying he was from Vac Service Centre about my Dyson, but he never asked for anyone in particular. I just said "oh" and he then asked if I still had a Dyson hoover. When I asked who exactly he wanted, he hung up straight away. I’ve never owned a Dyson, so either it was a wrong number or just some sales call.

She started chatting about my vacuum cleaner, something about Dyson, but I played dumb and said I hadn’t a clue what she meant. She said sorry and hung up pretty quick. If I ever needed any work done on a vacuum, there’s no way I’d trust some random person ringing me out of the blue. Just another dodgy call that I didn’t get caught up in! Cheers, J.R.

I've had this number blocked for ages, yet they just won't give up. They rang again today. Luckily, BT Call Guardian stops the phone from ringing so I don't have to answer, though the number still pops up on my caller ID. They're really persistent. Yes, I own a Dyson, but I'd only trust the actual company or their authorised agents to do any servicing.

I looked up the number on some outdated Yell.com listings for a place called Vacuum Service Centre at 189 Longmoor Lane, Liverpool. Google Street View shows the shop but with a different contact number. Neither figure on the latest Yell.com directory.

Pretty obvious they’re just scammers working off a phone directory they probably bought. Definitely dont trust them.

Got a call from this number saying they could service my Dyson for £30, which they claimed was cheaper than the usual £70. Honestly, I wouldn't pay £70 for a vacuum cleaner service anyway. When I told the guy halfway through his spiel that I wasn’t interested, he just hung up on me. About a year ago, Dyson themselves called me offering a service for £15 since their engineer was nearby. That’s a fair bit less expensive! I ended up turning that down too.

I decided to give this number a bell after they had the audacity to cold call me. I thought it’d be a bit of fun to turn the tables. When I rang back, they picked up and introduced themselves as the "service centre". I acted like I was genuinely intrigued, and the chap on the other end, rather cheerily, shared that his name was John. Oh, and I managed to get their address too - it's 189 Longmore Lane, Aintree, Liverpool, L9 0ED. If you're up for a bit of mischief, why not give them a call? Enjoy!

I’ve just had a rather peculiar call from 0151 5254 777. A lady on the other end claimed to be from Dyson Registration and inquired whether I still used my Dyson vacuum. I mentioned I no longer do as I’ve invested in a G Tech! It only struck me after I hung up how foolish I was to engage with her at all. So, I decided to check the number through 1471 and a quick online search. Considering my Dyson is over six years old, it seems utterly pointless for them to be reaching out now. I’ve also signed up with the BT Preference Service, which makes it all the more frustrating that these calls slip through the cracks.

Got a call about some Dyson services at half price. They said they could pop round the next day since they’d be nearby, so I booked in. I asked if they were actual Dyson engineers and they assured me they were. They even said they’d clean my handheld Dyson for £9.99. I decided to ring Dyson just to check, and they told me these guys had no connection with them at all. Plus, since my devices are still under warranty, getting the service from these people would’ve voided it. So yeah, I ended up cancelling the appointment straight away.

This number rang my mum claiming to be an engineer nearby. Sadly she let him inside. He attempted to sell her a vacuum cleaner she had no interest in, then offered to 'fix' her Dyson. Ever since, the machine's been useless! A few weeks later they called again to check if the Dyson was working properly. Needless to say, she told them off. It's a total scam and really ought to be reported to trading standards. Don't answer if this number pops up!

It’s so frustrating when spam calls come up with what look like real local numbers. I know loads of people around the 0151 area code near Liverpool, so every time I got a call, I had to double-check if it was a mate or not. It got really annoying until my lad taught me a way to spot the dodgy ones. I’ve got M.E and it’s already tough to keep up with important calls, so getting those silent or spam calls just makes things worse. Proper annoying!

I'm not saying they're a scam or anything like that, I actually live quite close to their place. The Vacuum Service Centre Ltd in Liverpool is a real business - you can find them on Yell with a one-star rating from just a single review. Their address is 189 Longmoor Lane, Liverpool, Merseyside, and their phone number is 0151 525 4777 if you want to check. Yeah, cold calls can be a right pain and often get linked to dodgy schemes, but some solid companies like this one need to ring up potential customers to keep going. With all the websites and phone lookup services these days, it's not that hard to see if a number belongs to a genuine firm. From what I know, this local outfit employs people from the community and seems to have a decent reputation.
